One can experience the seeming endlessness of the desert. The swirling sand dunes and miles after miles of sand is best explored trough a camel safari. Though a desert, the Thar is very lively and hospitable. One can see some rare cactus here and the sight is even more fantastic when the cactus is in full bloom.

One can also try the traditional Rajasthan cuisine and the folk cultural events. The village people often engage in nightly celebrations wherein the local folk artists perform the traditional song and dance. Tourists are often seen sporting local dresses and jewellery. Camel carts are provided to carry luggage and enable the tourists to rest as and when required.

The tourists are offered three meals a day, tea/coffee and two mineral water bottles per day. There is one escort to look after the needs of the people. For night they are offered tents on sharing basis. Kitchen tents, toilet tents with pit system are also offered to make the journey comfortable. Tourists get foam mattresses along with sleeping bags.
